“One of the main reasons I’m here in Afghanistan is because I love to help my people, especially the women,” said Najib Taufiq. “By providing education and training in the workforce, this helps them support their families while also inspiring them to succeed.”
“It makes us happy to help others who are facing danger,” said Afghan air force Maj. Farid Samin. “The crews of all the aircraft worked together as a team to make this happen.”
“We’ve got to ensure that the Afghan National Security Forces have all the tools necessary to carry on their mission after the transition in 2014 is complete, and coalition forces leave Afghanistan” said Albert Soliz.
“This is a small step toward increasing the Afghan Air Force’s ability to maintain its own facilities on their base in Kandahar,” said U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Jim Crowe.
